The Story of Adams Gardens
At Adams Gardens, our roots run deep—literally and figuratively! What started as a simple dream has blossomed into a thriving nursery thanks to years of dedication, passion, and a love for plants.
Our story begins with Neal Adams, whose fascination with plants started at a young age. After earning a degree in horticulture, Neal moved to Idaho to manage a nursery, where he gained hands-on experience in the industry. It was there that he met Jami, a fellow plant lover with a horticulture degree of her own. Together, they spent years learning the ins and outs of the nursery business, growing not just expertise but also a shared vision for the future.
That vision became a reality when Neal partnered with his father to open Adams Gardens and Nursery, Inc. right here in Nampa, Idaho. The land was there, but it was just a blank canvas waiting to be transformed. So, we rolled up our sleeves and got to work—building a retail space, setting up our offices, and even adding a gift shop.
From there, we expanded with a greenhouse, a shaded area, and a dedicated space for propagating our own plants.
What started as a one-acre operation has since grown to nearly three acres, filled with a diverse selection of trees, shrubs, perennials, and seasonal favorites. Through the years, we have remained committed to providing high-quality plants, expert advice, and a welcoming space for fellow gardeners.
As we celebrate 25 years of growth, we are beyond grateful for the support of our community. Whether you have been with us since the beginning or just discovered Adams Gardens, we are honored to be a part of your gardening journey.
